We Are
We are members of the Apostolic Society of St. Mary’s Province Missionaries of Compassion. We are all called to be committed and compassionate to the thirsty, hungry, naked, sick, and homeless. Rev Dr. Jose Kaimlett our beloved Founder is a remarkable individual who was moved by the suffering he saw around him to establish a congregation for the Priests with the mission of eradicating poverty and wiping away tears through the compassionate ministry of Jesus Christ. His vision was to create a world where every person, regardless of their background or circumstance, could live a life of dignity and fulfilment. With this goal in mind, Rev Dr Jose Kaimlett founded the Missionaries of Compassion on 24th May 2003 in the Archdiocese of Hyderabad on the Feast of Mary Help of Christians.

As of now we render our services in 18 dioceses in India and five dioceses in Tanzania, four dioceses in the USA, two dioceses in Canada and one diocese in Australia, one diocese in Germany and one diocese in Papua New Guinea.
St Mary’s Province
Our ministry spread wide and grew in Number in the short span of 18 years, we, the Missionaries of Compassion, have become two Provinces and one region namely St Mary’s Province, St Joseph’s Province, and St John’s Region for the effective service, administration and mission.
St. Mary’s Province has 15 missions and 46 priests, most of them in the remote area of India striving for the socio-educational development of the poor, marginalized and backward classes of society. They include homes for the destitute, de-addiction centres, food for the hungry, village schools and hostels for free education of poor children, youth animation and counselling centres, health care centres, etc., which are extended to the states of Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Kerala.
